Guidelines & FAQs
--------------------------------------------

1. Pornography is prohibited on annexcafe.com servers.
1a. Use of copyright material (Images) is prohibited, unless it is in the public domain, or you have written authorization from the artist. Images may be used from purchased media, such as a Photo Disc, but a disclaimer must be put into your post stating that it is "from purchased media and that use is nontransferable". A copy of personal authorization must be forwarded to
Ishie for filing with annexcafe.com. For a quick list of authorized and not-authorized artist, visit
news://news.annexcafe.com/annexcafe.honored.artists.

1b. These guidelines are in addition to the Rules and Guidelines established by Annexcafe.com, which can be viewed at:

news://news.annexcafe.com/annexcafe.announce

2. Everyone is invited to post their stationery creations, no matter how basic, or advanced.
3. Use of scripts, Scrippy, or whatever is quite alright. If you can't see some of the scripts, then you probably need to go to Bill Scott's Letterman's site for the fix: News Flash!! This also applies to Windows XP. DXTMSFT3.DLL and DXTMETA2.DLL were not installed on my XP Home Edition. I had to download and register them. Accounted for me not seeing some of the scripts:-0)
http://www.lettermanstationery.com/. Scroll down to; "MetaCreations DX Transform File". Bill's site has become the place to go for stationery beginners and issues. While there, pick up his "Whatsinstalled" file. It let's you know what you may need to see some of the scripts. Check out his "Strip Tease" program. Makes acquiring scripts so much easier.

a.  With the introduction of XP SP2, major security changes have been made, which may cause

problems in seeing some stationery posts properly.  There is an e-book at letterman which will explain how to set outlook express and internet explorer to see them.....

b.  Note; SP3 and Vista also present some issues with viewing stationery.  Bill's site also has some useful info on those to assist you.

4. Posts that contains nudity or suggestive language (in good taste) should have "Rated" in the subject title.
5. Post size: Look at what's being posted to get an idea of the normal range. Lots of folks are still on dial-up, and some pay for actual online time.
6. We are a social community, much like a family, and disagreements do happen, but that does not give us license to be mean.
7. Cross-posting is not good newsgroup etiquette, please refrain from doing so. This is a group for stationery hobbyists which provides a place for relaxation and escapism from real life, therefore political discussions should be posted to the
appropriated news forum.

8. "Do Not Feed the Troll Monster". Replying only add fuel to the fire. A good policy is to ignore them and they will eventually go away.

9. When in doubt about a protocol, return to rule#1:-)
